Gather around, raise your glass and say-

“There’s someone to thank this Independence Day.

So, here’s to the soldier who fought his way

To the beaches of Normandy only to die on the waves.

Here’s to the sailor safe asleep in his rack,

Who went down with his ship in Pearl Harbour’s attack.

And, to all those who have fallen on foreign land

In the air, on the sea, and now on the sand.

And to their comrades who fought by their side-

We’re so grateful for those who came back alive.

Here’s to a country-Home of the Free and the Brave-

Thank you all on this Independence Day.”
